You are entitled to a life free from abuse.
No one deserves to be abused, it is not your fault in any way, no matter what excuses or reasons your partner may use to shift the blame for their actions on to you or someone else.
If you or your children are in danger call 999 to access immediate police support.

Report a crime by calling 101.

Legal advice
You may need to get legal advice and there are organisations such as Scottish Women's Aid, who can support you through the court process:
- exclusion order - when your partner is not allowed in your house.
- interdicts - gives your partner rules about contacting you or family members
- non-harassment order - stops someone from harassing or stalking you, even if they are not your partner or ex-partner
The law is quite complex so you should speak to East Ayrshire Women's Aid, or seek legal advice.
