Proposal

All planning authorities are required to produce a Development Plan Scheme (DPS) on at least an annual basis.

The purpose of a DPS is to set out the authority’s programme for preparing and reviewing their Local Development Plans, and what is likely to be involved at each stage.

On 15 May 2024, Cabinet approved the 'East Ayrshire Development Plan Scheme 2024' subject to consultation on the Participation Statement. As the East Ayrshire Local Development Plan 2 was recently adopted in April 2024, the DPS 2024 turns attention to Local Development Plan 3 (LDP3).

The Participation Statement contained within the DPS sets out how, when and with whom we will undertake consultation on LDP3.

We welcome any views or suggestions you may have on the Participation Statement, and would particularly like to know when and how you would like to be consulted.
