The Governance and Scrutiny Committee's main focus is to monitor the Council's activities and it has overall responsibility for scrutiny and review of performance. An important part of the Committee's work is to review service areas. The Committee holds a workshop each year to consider topic suggestions for possible review which are gathered from a number of sources, including Councillors, stakeholders, officers and the general public. The topic reviews agreed at the workshop are then included in the Committee's work programme for the coming year.
Suggestions for topics for review from members of the public or community groups are welcome and if you or your group would like to suggest a topic which could be considered for review you should use the Topic Suggestion Form.
