Public inspection of the 2023/2024 Annual Accounts and associated OSCR registered charities

Notice is hereby given, under the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014, that the unaudited Annual Accounts of East Ayrshire Council for the period 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024, will be available for public inspection on our annual accounts page along with the following Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) registered charities:

  • Archibald Taylor Fund (SCO19308)
  • Miss Annie Smith Mair Newmilns Trust Fund (SCO21095)
  • East Ayrshire Council Charitable Trusts (SCO25073)

Any person interested may request to inspect other documents related to these accounts and these will be made available electronically where possible on reasonable request, at no charge, between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm Monday to Friday, from 28 June 2024 to 18 July 2024. Requests should be made initially to finance@east-ayrshire.gov.uk

Any interested persons may make objections to such Annual Accounts or part thereof and should transmit these objections and the grounds thereof in writing to Audit Scotland at email: FMitchell-Knight@audit-scotland.gov.uk (Annual Accounts of East Ayrshire Council) and lyule@audit-scotland.gov.uk (OSCR registered charities) and a copy thereof to:

(i) Any officer concerned, and

(ii) To me, the undersigned, not later than Friday 19 July 2024.

Where any person lodges an objection as aforementioned the External Auditor shall, if requested by the person or by East Ayrshire Council or by any officer at the Council who may be concerned, afford to that person or to the Council or officer an opportunity of appearing before, and being heard by, the External Auditor with respect of that objection and such person or officer may so appear and be heard personally or by a representative.
