Our Sport, Active Schools and Youth Work Team are responsible for the development of high-profile activities and programmes aimed at specific groups which would benefit from being involved in such positive activities.
Premier night league
This initiative provides 12 to 18 year olds with informal but structured opportunities to participate in football.
This type of activity has been tried, tested and proven to work both here and throughout the world. Premier Night Leagues are offered free to participants on most Friday nights of the year across eight different venues and are supported by local police and community wardens.
The Premier Night Leagues are offered at the following venues:
- Auchinleck Leisure Centre, Auchinleck
- Doon Valley Community Centre, Dalmellington
- Grange Leisure Centre, Kilmarnock
- Loudoun Leisure Centre, Galston
- Rose Reilly Sports Centre, Stewarton
- St Joseph's Leisure Centre, Kilmarnock
- Townhead Community Sports Hub, Cumnock
- Victory Park, Muirkirk
Youth action team
Vibrant Communities staff are deployed to areas to combat antisocial behaviour. The team offer various sport and recreational activities targeting hot spot areas and evenings.
