ROAD

A77
Main route south out of Glasgow to East Ayrshire, and on to Stranraer for the ferry to Northern Ireland.

M77
The new M77 motorway south out of Glasgow will soon be extended directly into East Ayrshire.

A76
Main road into East Ayrshire from the south.

A70 and A71
Main route into East Ayrshire from the east, including Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. Both the A70 and the A71 link up with the M74 which is the main motorway between Scotland to England.

RAIL

The main railway station in East Ayrshire is in Kilmarnock. There are also railway stations in New Cumnock, Auchinleck, Kilmaurs, Stewarton and Dunlop.

Glasgow Prestwick International Airport

Only 15 minutes by road from the heart of East Ayrshire. Regular daily flights to and from London. Scheduled passenger and freight flights throughout the UK and the rest of the world.

SEA

In 1999 the SeaCat service was extended to operate between Troon in Scotland and Belfast in N. Ireland. East Ayrshire is just 20 minutes drive from Troon and with a crossing time of 2 hours 30 minutes the route offers convenience to motorists and day trippers.
